‘Made in DACH’ Exhibition

Good morning. On the 7th of March, a group of students studying German 🇩🇪 represented our school during a ceremony held at St Ignatius College Middle School in Qormi. Back in December, these students participated in the German event ‘Made in DACH’, focusing on German Speaking Personalities coming from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For this event, the students worked on posters, models, presentations, drawings, collages, music pieces, videos and other projects. On 7th March our students had the opportunity to visit the exhibition and meet other students learning German from all over Malta. Moreover, they were invited to attend the final ceremony, during which some students showcased an exceptional talent. In our case, the siblings, Ann and Jerry Liu from Class 7 Jade were given the opportunity to perform during the ceremony as can be seen in the videos below. Jerry played ‘Für Elise’, a masterpiece of the German Composer Ludwig van Beethoven, while Ann chose the famous ‘Canon in D’ by the German Baroque composer Johann Pachelbel 🎵

All participants received a certificate of participation and a token. The school received a pack of resources to be used during our lessons 🤩 Well done to our students! We are extremely proud of you! Special thanks to the Education Officer for German Ms. Erica Kawka Armeni, the Heads of Department for their hard work and dedication in organising such a wonderful event and also to our teachers of German. 🖤❤️💛

The project of every participant has been uploaded on the German Website of the Ministry for Education.
