A group of Year 7 students visited Għar Dalam with their science teacher to strengthen their understanding of evolution and fossil evidence through direct observation. During the visit, students examined fossil remains of extinct animals that lived in Malta thousands of years ago and learned how these findings support scientific explanations of evolutionary change.
The experience also highlighted the links between science, history, and geography, as students explored how caves form and studied the stratified rock layers that reveal Malta’s prehistoric past. Overall, the visit provided a meaningful opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world evidence. Thanks to Ms K Simiana for sharing!
