During their science lessons, Year 8 CRL students engaged in a peer-to-peer learning activity focused on the topic of Climate Change.
The students were divided into eight groups of two students each, and the jigsaw method was used to structure the learning. Each group was assigned a specific subtopic to research. Students were then required to prepare a PowerPoint presentation and teach their classmates what they had learned.
As part of their presentations, students incorporated videos and quizzes to check understanding.
The students had the opportunities to develop their digital skills and work collaboratively with their peers. This activity also increased their understanding by explaining concepts to others.
The students enjoyed using their laptops and taking an active role in their own learning. They were very competitive during the quizzes. Overall, the activity helped create an engaging and student-centred learning environment.
