Here’s a little throwback! Back in February, Year 7 Science students learned all about Energy through Project Based Learning (PBL). PBL is a teaching method whereby students work on a project over a period, to learn about a particular topic. Students used the school’s tablets to do extensive research about Energy and to decide which project they should do. They worked in teams to bring all the materials and resources required and together they built different projects, all related to the topic of Energy. Finally, the students presented their projects to the whole class and all the projects were then displayed in the foyer. Through this project students developed deep content knowledge as well as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills. Congratulations to all students, as well as our Science teachers on a job well done.
Lura fi Frar, l-istudenti tax-Xjenza tas-Seba’ Sena tgħallmu dwar l-Enerġija permezz ta’ tagħlim ibbażat fuq proġett (PBL). Il-PBL huwa metodu ta’ tagħlim li bih l-istudenti jaħdmu fuq proġett fuq perjodu ta’ żmien, biex jitgħallmu dwar suġġett partikolari. L-istudenti użaw it-tablets tal-iskola biex jagħmlu riċerka estensiva dwar l-enerġija u biex jiddeċiedu liema proġett għandhom jagħmlu. Ħadmu f’timijiet biex iġibu l-materjal u r-riżorsi kollha meħtieġa u flimkien bnew proġetti differenti, kollha relatati mas-suġġett tal-enerġija. Fl-aħħarnett, l-istudenti ppreżentaw il-proġetti tagħhom lill-klassi kollha u mbagħad il-proġetti kollha ġew esebiti fil-foyer. Permezz ta’ dan il-proġett l-istudenti żviluppaw għarfien profond tal-kontenut kif ukoll ħiliet ta’ ħsieb kritiku, kollaborazzjoni, kreattività u komunikazzjoni. Proset lill-istudenti kollha involuti, kif ukoll lill-għalliema tax-xjenza tagħna.
