Year 11 Vocational Hospitality – Setting up a table

In the last few lessons, the students were learning about different table linen used in Hotels and restaurants as well as the formal table set-up.  Afterwards they practiced what they learnt by setting up a table themselves. They started from scratch when they had to iron their own linen, choose the right cutlery and crockery, polishing them and placing them correctly on the dining table.  They also practiced three different napkin folding techniques which were used to complement and give the final touch to their table.  Finally, after all the hard work, they ended the lesson on a sweet note by practicing the use of the coffee machine and  the preparation of hot beverages.
