Visit to the courts of justice

The Yr 9 and Yr 10 Social Studies option students took part in an educational visit to the Courts of Justice in Valletta. The students were given information about how the Judiciary works and could visibly identify the differences between the Inferior Court and the superior court. During this visit, they were welcomed into a courtroom to observe a civil case taking place and were then addressed by the magistrate presiding over that courtroom. The students were shown around the archives and the court library, where they also viewed manuscripts dating back to more than a hundred years ago. It was an extremely interesting and informative outing, with impeccable behaviour from the students throughout. Ms Ruth Ann Zahra, HOD Social Studies.
