Task for Continuous Assessment: Year 8 Coral

The students worked in groups to come up with a method to calculate the diameter of a carrot or marrow at two different places, first without cutting the veggie! We discussed that it is a good method to find for example, the diameter of a tree trunk without the need to cut it.

Students then checked the diameter of their veggie by cutting it and measuring it.

Well done for using your Math skills in great group work.
