On Monday 13th January, the members of the students’ council were accompanied by Ms Micaela Cauchi and Ms Claudia Aquilina for a training session related to the Student Council Democracy Awards programme organised by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ.
The students participated in a workshop titled Understanding who I am and were involved in creating an activity related to the production of a musical. Meanwhile, the council’s leader teachers received training about understanding and supporting the roles in the student council and how to abide by the marking scheme used to award points in the programme’s awards.
At the end of the session, the teachers and students were reunited for a physical Likert Scale activity in which they discussed given statements related to this programme and their role in the student council. The students enjoyed this very interesting session and are looking forward to putting into practice the skills achieved during this training session.
