It-Tlieta 14 ta’ Marzu, l-istudenti tal- PTI Achieve tar-Raba’ Sena Topaz, għamlu healthy carrot muffins, bħala parti mill-Unit: Community Impact. L-għada, bħala klassi morna d-Dar tal-Providenza biex l-istudenti jagħtu dawn il-muffins lill-ħaddiema bħala apprezzament tax-xogħol tagħhom li jagħmlu b’tant dedikazzjoni. L-istudenti għaddew ukoll muffins biex jinagħtaw lir-residenti li uħud minnhom iltqajna magħhom ukoll. L-istudenti ġew mgħarrfa dwar kif bdiet id-Dar tal-Providenza, it-tifsira tal-isem ta’ din id-dar, ix-xogħol li twettaq u anke raw b’għajnejhom ix-xogħol tal-kċina u tal-laundry. Spjegawlna wkoll l-użu tal-pool għat-terapija. L-istudenti setgħu jitkellmu u jiddiskutu ma’ wħud mill-ħaddiema. Żorna wkoll il-kappella.  L-istudenti tagħna għaddew donazzjoni ta’ 50 euro f’isem l-iskola tagħna li huma ġabru mill-istaff kollu, billi kabbru ħwawar fil-ġardina tal-iskola. Żgur li din il-mawra u l-preparazzjoni tagħha kienet ta’ tagħlim kbir għalina. Nixtieq f’isem l-istudenti, nirringrazzja lil-LSEs tal-klassi Ms Incorvaja, Ms Mifsud u Ms Tirchette tal-għajnuna tagħhom, lis-Sa Refalo tar-riċetta u l-għalliema tal-HE tal-koperazzjoni tagħhom. Niżżuħajr lil Father Martin u l-istaff li laqgħuna. Fl-aħħar u mhux l-anqas, grazzi lill-edukaturi kollha tal-iskola, mod specjali lis-Sur Adrian Galea, lis-Sa Rodiann Zammit u s-Sa Maria Attard.

On the 14th of March, students of class Year 10 Topaz, following the PTI Achieve programme, made healthy carrot muffins as part of the Unit: Community Impact. The day after, we all visited id-Dar Tal-Providenza to present these muffins to the workers to express our gratitude for their invaluable work. The students presented muffins to staff nurses to pass on to the residents in different rooms. Students were informed how id-Dar tal-Providenza was founded, the meaning of its name and its mission. Moreover, as we visited the kitchen, the laundry and the indoor pool, students could observe all the work involved and ask questions. We visited the chapel too. The students, on behalf of our school presented a 50 euro donation which they raised by growing herbs in our school garden. Heartfelt thanks to all the educators at school for their donations. On behalf of the students, I would like to thank the class LSEs, Ms Incorvaja, Ms Mifsud and Ms Tirchette for their help, Ms Refalo for providing us with the recipe as well as the HE teachers for their cooperation. We would like to thank Father Martin and his staff members for making this visit such a learning experience to us all. Last but not least, we thank Mr Adrian Galea, Ms Rodian Zammit and Ms Maria Attard.
