HE Outing – Maypole Factory

Bonġu! Ilbieraħ, l-istudenti tal-10 Sena tal-Home Economics Options żaru l-fabbrika tal-Maypole f’Ħal Qormi, fejn ingħataw opportunità siewja biex jaraw mill-qrib il-proċess tal-produzzjoni ta’ diversi tipi ta’ ħobż u ħelu. Matul iż-żjara, l-istudenti osservaw l-istadji differenti tal-produzzjoni u kisbu għarfien dirett dwar il-preparazzjoni tal-ikel fuq skala industrijali.

It-tour kien tassew informattiv u interessanti u l-istudenti kellhom ukoll iċ-ċans li jduqu ikel delizzjuż u bnin tul it-tour. Għaldaqstant din kienet esperjenza aktar memorabbli.

Grazzi speċjali tmur lis-Sa Claire Attard għas-sapport tagħha tul l-ħarġa, kif ukoll lis-Sa Chantelle Borg Vella, għalliema tal-Home Economics, talli organizzat u ħadmet biex din l-opportunità ta’ tagħlim tkun waħad unika u sinifikanti.

Today, our Year 10 Home Economics Option students visited the Maypole factory in Qormi, where they were given a valuable behind-the-scenes look at the production of a variety of breads and sweets. During the visit, students observed the different stages of the production process, gaining first-hand insight into food preparation on an industrial scale.

The tour was highly informative and engaging, and students were also treated to some delicious samples along the way, making the experience even more memorable.

A special word of thanks goes to Ms Claire Attard for her support during the outing, and to Ms Chantelle Borg Vella, Home Economics teacher, for organising and facilitating this unique and enriching learning opportunity.
