On the 8th of November, Year 11 students studying the engineering technology option had the opportunity to visit the University of Malta Technology Clubs. During their visit, they experienced various aspects of engineering.
Mechanical Engineering demonstrations focused on testing different materials, designs, and identifying stress points. In the Electrical Engineering demonstrations, students built a rain sensor and learned about electrical power generation. They also explored Biomedical Engineering, which centred on robotics. This workshop included programming a robot to move forward until it encountered an obstruction, at which point it would reverse and turn.
The day was not only enjoyable but also highly educational, providing the students with clear insights into various fields of engineering that they can pursue in further education.
