Our Year 8 students this year embarked on an interesting D&T project. Their project was to design and make a lamp. The students worked on creative ideas in which they made use of various materials in order to explore the use of light, pin-hole effects, translucence, shadows, or projections. The objective of the project was to learn to follow a design brief. Create a concept and a prototype and be able to speak about their product, especially about how it was made. Some student’s really understood what thinking outside the box means. Well done to all!
