We are delighted to inform you that our team of students finished eighth out of 51 teams in the Chess Interschools Tournament. Well done! 
Our team consisted of eight students: Mason Gouder and Yunlong Wang (Year 7), Noel Shkurti and Karen Sobhi (Year 9) and Kian Calleja, Aiden Camilleri, Marcus Cassar and Viktor Grobovich (Year 10).
A few schools were stunned with a gift of 10 chess sets 
and three chess clocks. And ours was one of those schools. That’s a wonderful boost for our Chess Club. Special thanks go to the Malta Chess Federation, FIDE World Youth Chess Championship, and Ms T Frey for sharing these photos and information with us.
As the FIDE motto states, ‘Gens una sumus’ – ‘We are one family’. And we are really proud of our family!
