Celebrating our success in YRE Video Competition – a win for the environment!
After developing, editing and sharing our Orange Scrub project, aimed at reducing global warming and raising awareness about the importance of recycling
, our school has been officially recognised for its efforts in promoting environmental responsibility and sustainability.
Our dedicated Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) students: Shazney Galea, Sofia Vargas, Nikita Balaraine, Jayden Galea, Kieran Caruana, Andre Galea and Jake Wallhead, under the guidance of Ms Analise Calleja Jones and Mr Dylan Camilleri, proudly placed second
in the national YRE long-video category. Nature Trust Malta, together with the Foundation for Environmental Education, acknowledged our students’ active participation and strong message within the YRE programme framework.![]()
During the Awards Ceremony held on 20th May at Tortuga Beach Restaurant, Armier, our students celebrated their commitment to environmental awareness, responsible journalism and youth empowerment. A truly memorable highlight was witnessing the release of a fully rehabilitated sea turtle back into the wild: a powerful symbol of hope and environmental recovery. ![]()
The event also provided our students with a valuable opportunity to share their ideas and discuss their project with peers from other schools across Malta and Gozo, all united by a common goal: a better environment and a brighter future. A heartfelt congratulations to all involved because your voices and actions are shaping our tomorrow. Well done, Team!![]()
