Nhar il-Ġimgħa, 8 ta’ Novembru, l-istudenti tagħna tad-9 Sena attendew drama bit-titlu ‘Ara, Aħseb u Agħżel’, produzzjoni ta’ Teatru Fl-Edukazzjoni (TIE) b’kollaborazzjoni mal-Drama Unit, is-Servizz Kontra l-Abbuż tas-Sustanzi u PSCD. Il-play kienet iffoka fuq l-impatt qerriedi tal-abbuż tad-droga ġewwa familja, fejn il-membri kollha, ħlief għall-omm, kienu involuti fl-abbuż tas-sustanzi u diversi reati kriminali. Dan ħalla lill-omm waħedha, mitlufa u mingħajr appoġġ mill-familja tagħha stess. Wara l-prestazzjoni, l-istudenti kellhom l-opportunità li jiddiskutu mal-atturi, janalizzaw ir-realtajiet tal-ħajja u jirriflettu fuq l-għażliet li għamlu l-karattri. Kienet esperjenza li ppermettiet lill-istudenti tagħna jaħsbu u jifhmu l-konsegwenzi koroh tal-abbuż tad-droga u l-effetti tiegħu fuq il-familji. Grazzi speċjali tmur għall-għalliema tagħna tal-PSCD li ħadu ħsieb l-organizzazzjoni ta’ din il-ħarġa u lill-istudenta Aaliyah Zahra minn 9 Diamond għas-sommarju tagħha wara din il-play.
On Friday, 8th November, our Year 9 students attended a powerful drama titled ‘Ara, Aħseb u Agħżel’, produced by Teatru Fl-Edukazzjoni (TIE) in collaboration with the Drama Unit, Anti-Substance Abuse Service, and PSCD. The performance focused on the devastating impact of drug abuse within a family, where all members, except for the mother, were deeply involved in substance abuse and multiple criminal activities. This left the mother completely lost, isolated, and without the support of her own family. Following the performance, the students had the opportunity to engage in a meaningful debate with the actors, discussing the real-life implications of such situations and reflecting on the choices made by the characters. It was a thought-provoking experience that allowed our students to explore the harsh realities of drug abuse and its consequences on families. A special thanks goes to our PSCD teachers for organising this outing and to our Year 9 Diamond student Aaliyah Zahra for this outing summary.
