The HE year 11 students finished their lesson about convenience foods by carrying out a particular practical session. The students had to recreate a homemade version of a convenience food of their preference. At the end of the lesson, the students tasted each other’s food and carried out a comparison between the two foods. Finally, they will present their results in a write up form where they have to compare the homemade food with the convenience food in terms of time (for preparation) cost, taste and nutritional value. The recipes chosen were cakes, pizza, chicken nuggets, potato wedges, pies and a lasagne.
