Dear Parents
This year the department of education is introducing the reader pen. This reader pen can be available to all students who have the special arrangements in school and who have the Reader.
Please take care to read all the material sent as this equipment comes with a lot of responsibility. Remember also that if your student chooses to use the reader pen he/she will not have a human reader during the exam, the reader pen does not read maltese and also it will be endorsed, which means it will be written on the certificate that a reader pen is used.
I will also do a meeting at school for the year 9 students who are eligible to use the reader pen, and I will explain in detail. Those who are interested will then fill in a form and bring it back to school by Thursday, 9th Feb. Please feel free to contact me if you have any difficulties, but I suggest that you wait for the information that you receive from your son/daughter after the meeting.
