Habitat preference in a fun outdoor lesson

Year 7 Science students learned about habitat preference in a fun outdoor lesson. In this investigation, students observed the type of habitat that is preferred by millipedes, centipedes and snails. They concluded that these animals prefer moist soil compared to dry soil, and that they seek rocks for shelter. Well done to all students involved!

*IMP* All living organisms used in this investigation were not harmed – they were released back into their natural environment after the experiment.
