Nhar l-Erbgħa li għadda, l-istudenti tagħna attendew għall-iStudent Council Democracy Awards (SCDA), fejn l-iskola tagħna bi kburija ngħatat il-Premju Fidda bħala rikonoxximent mistħoqq għall-ħidma eċċellenti li wettaq il-Kunsill tal-Istudenti matul is-sena skolastika li għaddiet.
Dan is-suċċess jirrifletti l-impenn tal-istudenti tagħna biex jippromwovu d-demokrazija, il-parteċipazzjoni, il-vuċi tal-istudenti u t-tmexxija fi ħdan il-komunità skolastika tagħna.
Matul din l-attività, l-istudenti ħadu sehem ukoll f’workshop dwar il-litteriżmu fil-midja u fl-informazzjoni, fejn iddiskutew l-importanza li wieħed jagħraf sorsi ta’ informazzjoni affi-dabbli. Esploraw ukoll kif l-iskejjel tagħna jistgħu jgħinu lill-istudenti jiżviluppaw il-ħiliet meħtieġa biex jagħrfu informazzjoni korretta u ta’ min jafdaha.
Aħna tassew kburin bl-istudenti tagħna għal dan is-suċċess mistħoqq u għall-mod pożittiv li bih irrappreżentaw lill-iskola tagħna. Ringrazzjament speċjali lil Dr Audrey Friggieri, is-Sa Graziella Busuttil u s-Sa Ilenia Schembri għad-dedikazzjoni, l-impenn u l-gwida tagħhom fit-tmexxija u l-appoġġ tal-Kunsill tal-Istudenti tagħna.
Last Wednesday, our students attended the Student Council Democracy Awards (SCDA), where our school proudly received the Silver Award in recognition of the excellent work carried out by the Student Council during the past scholastic year.
This achievement highlights the students’ commitment to promoting democracy, participation, student voice and leadership within our school community.
During the event, students also took part in a workshop on media and information literacy, where they discussed the importance of identifying reliable sources of information and explored ways schools can help students develop the skills needed to recognise trustworthy and accurate information.
We are very proud of our students for this well-deserved achievement and for representing our school so positively. Special thanks to Dr Audrey Friggieri, Ms Graziella Busuttil and Ms Ilenia Schembri for their dedication and guidance in supporting our Students’ Council.
