Għal żmien ir-Randan, l-istudenti tad-Disa’ Sena, żaru (fi gruppi żgħar) il-Knisja Arċipretali ta’ Santa Katarina, fiż-Żejtun. Hemm setgħu jaraw il-knisja armata, b’uħud mill-vari, li joħorġu għall-Purċissjoni tal-Ġimgħa l-Kbira.
B’riflessjoni minn Fr Bernard Micallef (id-Direttur Spiritwali tagħna), l-istatwi fil-knisja bħal ħadu l-ħajja u bdew jitkellmu.
Permezz ta’ eżerċizzju, l-istudenti rriflettew fuq il-ħsieb ta’ Fr Bernard u kif huma qed jgħixu l-Passjoni, il-Mewt u l-Qawmien ta’ Sidna Ġesù Kristu, fil-ħajja tagħhom ta’ kuljum.
During the season of Lent, Year 9 students visited (in small groups) the Archpriestal Church of Saint Catherine, in Żejtun. There they were able to see the church decorated with some of the statues that are carried in the Good Friday Procession.
Through a reflection led by Fr Bernard Micallef (our Spiritual Director), the statues in the church seemed to come to life and began to ‘speak’.
Through an exercise, the students reflected on Fr Bernard’s thoughts and on how they themselves are living the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
