Dear Year 8 Parents and Guardians,
The Ministry for Education, Youth and Research (MEYR) is inviting all Year 8 students to explore the available option subjects and gather information during the Choice of Subjects National Fair. This event is an excellent opportunity for students to make informed decisions about their future studies.
Details of the Fair:
Date: Tuesday, 20th January 2026
Venue: MFCC, Ta’ Qali
Time: 10:00 – 11:15
The Fair will also be open to the general public on:
Thursday, 22nd January 2026
Time: 16:00 – 20:00
Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to attend and visit the various subject stands, which will include Academic, Vocational, and Applied options.
Online Meeting for Parents/Guardians
In addition, I would like to invite all Year 8 parents and guardians to an online informative meeting regarding the choice of subjects:
Date: Thursday, 29th January 2026
Time: 09:30 – 11:00
Platform: Microsoft Teams meeting
Meeting details will be sent via email. This meeting will be recorded for your convenience. Following the online session, parents will be invited to attend further meetings with teachers of different subjects based on their preferences. More details about these sessions will be shared during the meeting on 29th January 2026.
