L-Erbgħa, 20 ta’ Novembru, ġewwa s-sala tal-iskola, l-istudenti tal-Ħdax-il Sena, sabu ambjent mhux tas-soltu jilqagħhom… dawl ikkontrollat, mużika sabiħa fl-isfont, xemgħat mixgħula, seating komdu…
L-istudenti tagħna daħlu f’din l-atmosfera u rriflettew, talbu, siktu, ħasbu, fuq kif Alla, ir-Re tas-Smewwiet, sar ‘Immanuel’… ‘Alla magħna’.
Semgħu bil-kwiet riflessjonijiet dwar is-suġġett u ħasbu fuq dak li bħalissa qed itaqqalhom, ibeżżagħhom, joħolqilhom ansjetà, rabja, dwejjaq, qtugħ ta’ nifs…
Illum, is-Seftur kien qalb l-istudenti, l-għalliema u l-LSEs tagħna… Resaq viċin tagħhom biex, kull individwu jkun jista’ jiffissa l-ħarsa tiegħu fuqu…
Fl-aħħar berikna lkoll bil-ħlewwa tiegħu kollha.
Lura fil-klassijiet tagħhom, l-istudenti tagħna ġew imħeġġa jieħdu magħhom sentimenti ta’ paċi, ta’ maħfra, ta’ tolleranza, ta’ aċċettazzjoni u ta’ rilassament, kemm tal-moħħ, kif ukoll tal-qalb…
Iżda l-isbaħ sentiment huwa li, dan Alla, tant iħobbni, li kien lest isir Seftur għalija biex jien insir re/reġina! Grazzi kbira lill-għalliema u lil Fr Bernard!
On Wednesday, November 20th, in the school hall, the Year Eleven students were welcomed into an unusual atmosphere… Controlled lighting, beautiful background music, candle lights, and comfortable seating…
Our students prayed, sat in silence, and thought about how God, the King of Heaven, became ‘Immanuel’… ‘God with us’.
They quietly listened to reflections on the topic and contemplated what is currently troubling them, scaring them, causing them anxiety, anger, sadness, breathlessness…
Today, the Servant was among our students, teachers, and LSEs. He drew close to them so that each individual could fix their gaze upon Him…
At the end the Lord Jesus blessed us all with all His gentle presence.
Back in their classrooms, our students were encouraged to take with them sentiments of peace, forgiveness, tolerance, acceptance, and relaxation, for both their minds and hearts.
But the most beautiful sentiment is that God loves me so much that He was willing to become a Servant so that I could become a king/queen! Thank you teachers and Fr Bernard!
